My thoughts on this knife.  I want to keep it. :-)  Seriously, I really love the Model 23.  I have two that I use all the time.  Great blade length.  Very hefty being forged from 1/4" stock.  Great balance.  If you leave the top edge sharpened, you have one heck of a tough blade to do the bone breaking work while preserving the fine edge for the detail work.  Great combo.

My thoughts on this knife.  If you are planning on constantly being near water sources or just live in a very humid area, this is a great knife.  They only come in stainless, and with the handle being black Micarta, it is pretty much impervious to the elements.  The upswept blade is quite useful in many chores, but I'd be cautious if you plan on using it as a semi-survival style knife.  The grind is deliberately very thin so therefore can't take the punishment a Model 23 could take.

This particular blade shape really lends itself to field dressing/skinning (hence the name).  The handle shape is very user-friendly and will be comfortable for long periods of use with no hot spots and the ability to hold the knife in a multitude of positions. 

The knife is new and unused and still warm from Bob's Heat Treat oven. :-)

This is a new offering from Bob Dozier.  A classic dropped point blade shape but a different take on the handle than his usual models.  Gives it a more modern look.  Feels nice in the hand.  I love burgundy Micarta and this is a nice deep rich color.  Very good looking.
