Bob Dozier K7 Slim Outdoorsman,Natural Micarta
Bob Dozier K7 Slim Outdoorsman,Natural Micarta
3 3/8" D2 steel blade ground from 1/8" stock.
Handle length is 4 1/8"
Natural Canvas Micarta. Brass hardware Very evenly ground and contoured. This is by far my favorite pattern. Fits the hand perfectly with superb balance and plenty of blade to skin a mule or slice a carrot.
Full Tang.
Black Horizontal Kydex sheath.
A note about this one. At first I thought it was my imagination, but in the pictures it looks like one handle slab is just a tiny bit darker than the other. It was not my imagination. There is a slight, but noticeable difference between the two. Just in case your were wondering the same thing.
This knife is so fresh and new, it is still warm from the heat treat oven! :-)

My personal thoughts on this knife are that it really is a great "all around" knife. Shares a handle shape with the Slim Outdoorsman, but gives you a taller blade and just a little more beefy towards the tip for piercing and heavy duty work. This one has the extra attention befitting a custom knife. Polished wood and brass with a very classy liner. Feels extra nice in your hand. This model is becoming one of my favorite. So versatile. This is a one of a kind.

Randall Made Knives Model 23 GameMaster
4 1/2" Stainless steel blade
Top Edge NOT Sharpened making it NY legal
Single Nickel Silver Square hilt that has been rounded by me.
Aluminum and Black spacers
Dark Maroon Micarta handle with finger grooves.
Black leather sheath without the stone pouch.
Includes a salmon colored stone.
The knife is used by me. Had it for a couple years. Mostly kitchen work, but did field dress a couple pigeons with it. Yep, pigeons. I live on a farm. Was doing a test of this knife compared to a Ward Gay model 20, ESEE 3, another 23 with O1 steel, a Model 22 and Gerber Gator.
My thoughts on this knife. I want to keep it. :-) Great blade length. Very hefty being forged from 1/4" stock. Great balance. The finger grooves on this one were really what caught my eye. They feel great also. I wrote an article about the "rounded square hilt" in which I expound on the fact that the regular square hilt is very uncomfortable to use, but rounded, it feels great, and gives your thumb a larger surface to push against for those type of cuts. I do it to all my square hilt knives and have customers specifically ask for me to do that to their Randall's.
