Cocobolo wood handle with a very nice contoured shape.  Brass Hardware.  This is a very comfortable knife to wear.  Lightweight, but with thick enough stock to do real work.  The handle is nice and long too so you don't always feel like you are only using three fingers to hold onto it like so many other "gentleman's knives".  I like the Cocobolo wood and think they did a very nice job of match them up.

Dyed Rosewood Burl handle with a very nice contoured shape.  Brass Hardware.  This is a very comfortable knife to wear.  Lightweight, but with thick enough stock to do real work and a nice short stocky blade with enough dropped point to skin an animal, but a point to do detail work as well.  The handle is nice and long too so you don't always feel like you are only using three fingers to hold onto it like so many other squirrel knives.  It actually feels like a nice full sized knife, but with the short blade, you could wear this around town and not draw unnecessary attention.  Can't tell you how many times I've forgotten I have a horizontal sheath Dozier on my belt and go into town to run all my errands.  Nobody even looks twice.

One thing of note, when I received this one, there was a flat spot on the edge.  This is VERY uncharacteristic of Dozier knives.  However, the knife edge definitely bonked into something.  Rather than being a pain in the butt and sending it back, I touched it up and you are good to go.  I guess now I have to insert my usual disclaimer of "I will not be held responsible for the amputation of any appendage during the use of this knife." My edges are sharper than theirs anyway.  And if you are a Dozier fan, you know just how crazy sharp their knives are. 

Maple Burl handle with a very nice contoured shape and just a little fatter than most I've received.  Giving you more to hold onto if you have larger hands.  Brass Hardware.  This is probably one of my favorite models in that is really is so versatile.  It can be a bit of a bushcrafter if needed but really shines in the kitchen and in the field.  A great skinning blade with plenty of drop so you don't pierce any of the intestines and a great handle shape that lends itself well to a multitude of grips and is shaped in such a way as to not create hot spots.

My thoughts on this knife:  The first thing I noticed was the heft of the knife and felt immediately it would be a good Bushcrafter.  Now, if you are a traditionalist, you may not like this knife.  It is not a true Scandi Grind and is somewhat of a small hollow grind, with a secondary grind.  If you don't care about that, then this knife will be awesome.  You can sharpen it on a Sharpmaker Triangle Sharpener, or traditional stone.  I love the shape and the handle is very comfortable.  The yellow liners are very subdued but look cool and is a nice custom touch.  I'm glad they went with brass hardware as it also really dresses things up.   

This knife is so fresh and new, it is still warm from the heat treat oven!  :-)
