My thoughts on this knife. If you are planning on hunting this season and are really in a quandary as to what knife to buy, try this one. I love it. I kept buying model 3-5 Hunters but finally decided to buy one of these. I absolutely love it. The upswept blade is quite useful in many chores. Great at skinning. I used this knife on a few squirrels, but that is about it. You will see a couple of areas on the blade that are the result of blood from the animals, but they have been cleaned up with Simichrome. I love that stuff. Rather than let the blade develop a deep patina, I like to clean my blades up every time. This particular knife has a very generous handle and as you can see, is in fantastic shape as it has only been used a couple times and the sheath is mint, except for the fact the knife has actually been inside of it. So, if you are looking for a knife to use and not planning on buying one to put in the safe, this is a nice way to go. I also sharpened it as it is quite common knowledge that Randall is not so good at consistently putting a razor edge on a knife.
