My thoughts on this knife:
This is an interesting knife. On the one hand, it is a Bushcraft that looks as if it has a Scandi grind, but in fact, it does not. It has the usual Bob Dozier edge on it making it a secondary edge if you like. Still, quite a cutting machine and with the grind only being halfway up the blade, there is a lot of steel left behind making this a very tough knife, therefore one you could beat the crap out of in a Bushcraft environment. There is an advantage to having this knife ground this way. Many people are very intimidated having to sharpen a Scandi Grind. With this knife, that is not an issue. You can use a regular stone or even a Spyderco Sharpmaker. I have a couple of this pattern listed. Usually, you find them with black or orange Micarta, these are quite dressier than that.
This knife is so fresh and new, it is still warm from the heat treat oven! :-)
The knife you see is the exact knife you will receive. Props not included.
