2 7/8" D2 steel blade ground from .125" stock.  

Handle length is 3 7/8" and is Green Canvas Micarta with brass hardware.   

The name says Bird and Trout, and it sure does handle those animals beautifully.  But I've used one on many squirrels and yes, even a deer.  In the right hands, you really don't need a huge blade and with the way Bob heat treats his D2, you really don't need much more blade than this and it will stay sharp through several deer, and dinner.  Comes in a Horizontal sheath that I've grown to really like as it is in a very handy place to grab when you need it and easy to put away when you are done.

This knife is so fresh and new, it is still warm from the heat treat oven!  :-)
